A new lounge has just opened in EPCOT, and yes, we’ve been anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Now, we previously got a sneak peek at this new lounge, GEO-82, ahead of its opening. However, it’s officially open now, so we’re going back inside again to try out all the food and drinks the new lounge has to offer! So join us as we review EPCOT’s brand new GEO-82!
Atmosphere
GEO-82 is an adults-only (as in 21 and over) space that takes its inspiration from Spaceship Earth, so a lot of the design elements here are going to look very familiar. You’ll find the entrance near the back of Spaceship Earth.
The check-in desk is downstairs from the lounge in Project Tomorrow — look for the lighted sign and gold hallway.
Here, we were handed a cold towel and told it was “tranquility scented,” and YES, we believed it. It smells like a spa and helps set the relaxed, yet upscale tone of the whole lounge experience.
Once you’ve checked in, you’ll go up the stairs or elevator. There, you’ll see a little waiting area. You’ll hear some nice smooth jazz music (what else would you expect?).
Once you step inside GEO-82, you’ll be greeted with geometric shapes, rich textures, and warm metallic tones. The view is also pretty stunning, and yes, you can watch the EPCOT nighttime show from here. Also, look at those fun lighting fixtures. By the way, in case you haven’t noticed, this place is FANCY.
There is plenty of seating inside the lounge, including tables and chairs, as well as booths.
Pro tip: Request a seat at the bar. You might lose out on the great view, but the bar is GORGEOUS (and the bartenders are incredible, and it’s so much fun watching them do their thing).
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Disney describes the GEO-82 menu as featuring “global flavors blended with culinary artistry in classic cocktails and small plates.” The food menu features small bites like Cannellini Hummus, a Charcuterie selection, and more.
Of course, this is a lounge, so it’s all about the cocktails, and there’s a good variety of unique drinks to choose from.
For those looking for non-alcoholic options, there are two Zero-Proof Cocktails available. There’s also a decent selection of beer and wine.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Chef’s Selection of Artisanal Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments for $29. We got three cheeses, three meats, three toppings, and three breads. The cheeses are on the pungent side, though, so if you’re a more mild cheese fan, this could be off-putting. Note, though, that this could change because it’s the chef’s selection (but it’s expertly put together). However, we found these cheeses very flavorful. The meats also had a lot of great flavor, and they were cut nice and thin.
We also liked the bread, which included a cranberry loaf (SO soft) and pecan brittle, which almost gave us dessert vibes. The cheeses and breads all paired perfectly together, no matter how you mixed and matched. When we say this thing is expertly put together, we mean it. Usually, with cheese and bread, we find that one combo we love more than anything else and eat mostly that, but this one…well, let’s just say we were almost picking this plate up and licking it clean.
We also ordered the Truffled Ahi Tuna with Japanese Whisky Barrel-aged Soy-Truffle Ponzu, Citrus, Scallion, Tobiko, and Black Sesame Seeds for $23. First, this looks beautiful. When we bit into it, we were impressed with the texture. It’s cooked perfectly: seared on the outside and raw on the inside. Plus, you get the texture of the toppings and the mushiness of the fruit, and a crunch from the tobiko and sesame seeds.
The flavors here are a little acidic, a little salty, and not super fishy. The ponzu adds a touch of complexity to the overall flavor. The scallion offers a bit of onion flavor.
Honestly, this is the kind of food we’d expect to be served at some place as upscale as Victoria & Albert’s…that’s how elevated it is.
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Caramelized Leek Martini for $26. Now, this unique drink is made with Ford’s Gin, Dolin Dry Vermouth de Chambéry, Caramelized Leek, and Pickled Onion. How this drink works is beyond us, but y’all, it’s…well…INCREDIBLE. So they use the leek-infused gin and a regular gin mixed together so you get a great balance of pungent, tangy, and savory, and an explosion of flavors. You also get a hint of sweetness from the caramelization.
It’s served with these pickled cocktail onions that are the size of ping pong balls. And we get that not everyone will enjoy this, but if you like pickled onions in your salad or eating pearl onions in things, you want to order this drink.
Our second drink was the Brûlée Banana Highball for $26. It’s made with Toki Suntory Whisky, Lustau ‘Don Nuño’ Oloroso Sherry, Banana, Coffee, Cacao, and Bubbles (BUBBLES!). This was a drink we needed a few sips of to understand. It’s a sweet cocktail without being dessert-like, but it has those flavors. The banana flavor is the most forward flavor, but then you get that spiced rum and the whiskey and coffee, and it becomes something super complex.
The drink also stays cold because the ice is literally a cylinder of ice in your highball glass. There’s also a little caramelized banana on top they make RIGHT there behind the bar (and yes, we just popped the whole thing in our mouth before drinking the cocktail — but it’s okay because the sugar got stuck in our teeth and made the drink’s sweetness pop). One thing we thought was that the drinks here are ADULT drinks and not “just turned 21” kinda’ drinks. These are for more sophisticated drinkers who’ve been around the block a few times.
The Strawberry-Black Pepper Sour is made with Campari Liqueur, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Strawberry, Lemon, and Black Pepper for $25. Yep, this one is pretty unique, too. You really get that lovely strawberry flavor, and it’s sort of like a daiquiri meets a martini with that touch of black pepper zing.
Don’t worry, though, the pepper isn’t overwhelming, and the strawberry isn’t super sweet or sour. It’s just a good strawberry flavor for people who love strawberries.
We also had the High Brow Batanga for $26, which is made with Tapatio Reposado Tequila, Ramazzotti Amaro, Kola Nut, Lime Cordial, Salt, and Bubbles. A batanga is similar to a rum and Coke, but instead of rum, it’s made with tequila. This High Brow Batanga also features a salted rim with lime, and those who enjoy classic flavors or prefer a more subtle approach to cocktails will want to order this one. It’s not the most thrilling cocktail of the ones we’ve tried, but we love it when there is a classic drink with well-known flavors made with high-quality ingredients.
We knew we had to try the gorgeous Clarified New York Sour for $26, as well. It’s made with Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Yuzu, Lemon, and Red Wind Float. Right when we took our first sniff and sip, we only tasted the red wine, but once we kept drinking, the ratio of the wine to bourbon changed, creating a different taste each time. The bourbon is milk-washed, which softens the traditional, bitter edges of the bourbon. The citrus from the lemon was strong with the bourbon, and if you’ve been wanting to get into bourbon drinks, this is a great introductory version.
We ordered the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash made with Toki Suntory Whisky, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Peach and Mint Shrub, and Bubbles (MORE BUBBLES!) for $26. It’s like a whiskey sour, but it’s also bubbly, which adds extra carbonation. They even have a special bubbling process going on that goes BEYOND soda-making.
Flavor-wise, this cocktail tasted like a candy peach with a slight sour tang, but not enough to make your lips pucker.
We also wanted to try an alcohol-free drink, so we had the Manhattan in the Morning for $17, made with Seedlip Spice 94 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, Maple, verjus blanc, Tart Cherry, and Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters.
Right off the bat, we were obsessed with the visuals and how much it looked like a real cocktail. We love it when equal effort is put into making alcohol-free and alcohol cocktails, and you could genuinely feel that in this drink. It had a bit of maple but wasn’t too sweet, with the spice coming in from the Seedlip Spirit. The tart cherry juice was prominent and was even garnished with more cherries on top. We did notice that we did not taste any of the Joffrey’s Coffee, but we didn’t mind because we weren’t missing the additional flavor.
As bourbon lovers, we ended our visit with the Exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight for $49. The flight comes with Uncle Nearest Single Barrel, Woodford Reserve Single Barrel, Blanton’s Gold Single Barrel, and Stagg Private Barrel. One important element to note about GEO-82 is that you are currently limited to ordering two drinks at a time per person. The bourbon flight counts as two drinks, so if you wanted to order an additional drink, you have to be finished with the flight before getting your next drink. It was served on a stunning Spaceship Earth tray with the bourbons in order from lowest proof to highest.
The Uncle Nearest and Woodford Reserve were beautiful sipping bourbons, and they were single-barrel, which typically has a higher price point. The Blanton’s Gold is a common bourbon many may have already tried, but the Stagg Private was what we thought was the most complex. Before it even touched our lips, we could feel it hit the back of our throats. When we took a sip, it brought a heat with a burn, but it was so smooth. It was interesting to experience both the smoothness and the heat, which made the bourbon fun to sip. Overall, bourbon lovers are going to have a blast trying these four small pours.
We also tried out the Strawberry and Coconut ‘Right Hand’ for $25. It is made with Campari Liqueur, Coconut Cartel Añejo Rum, Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth, and strawberry. We found this drink to be very interesting, and it wasn’t what we expected at first glance. The drink comes with a single ice cube, no stamp in it though like the Old Fashioned.
The most prominent flavors are the Campari Liqueur and strawberry. You will definitely have to enjoy Campari and the bitter taste it has to enjoy this drink. The drink has a very subtle sweetness to it on the front end, but the back is very bitter and dry. While you might associate a strawberry drink with being very sweet, this drink is not very sweet.
The strawberry flavor in this drink also came off more sour than sweet. The strawberry flavor had a great natural flavor to it, and it didn’t taste like they were using any artificial flavors to add strawberry to this drink. While the drink was supposed to have coconut flavor as well, we didn’t taste much of it at all. Overall, we enjoyed sipping on this drink, although we wouldn’t rank it as one of our favorites. Definitely a good option for fans of Campari, or someone looking for a strawberry drink without the sweetness.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for an upscale experience. This lounge is FANCY, and we mean that in the best way possible. The dining and cocktails are elevated, and the fact that kids aren’t allowed means you’re getting a sophisticated experience meant just for adults.
- You are a cocktail enthusiast. The cocktails here are expertly crafted and well-thought-out, and you’re going to find things here that you won’t find anywhere else in Disney World. It’s also fantastic to sit at the bar to watch the bartenders do their thing as they explain more about the mixology of each drink.
- You want to escape from park life. If you’re ready to get away from the whole theme park vibe and be somewhere that doesn’t feel like a theme park, this lounge is for you. It’s a little culinary oasis in the middle of EPCOT.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re drinking around the world. This is not that. At all. These cocktails are pretty strong and could put you off other cocktails in the park.
- You like simpler cocktails that are sweeter and fruitier. Now you can get sweet and fruity options here, but these cocktails are more elevated and complex. If you’re go-to drink is a vodka cranberry, this is not the spot for you.
- It’s family day. As we explained, kids are not allowed in this lounge, and you probably shouldn’t ditch family time for fancy drinks. Of course, if you’re on a long trip with a large group…that point could be argued.
Overall
We are SUPER impressed with GEO-82, mostly because it’s such an upscale experience that truly is made with just adults in mind (which is not something you’ll find much of in Disney World). The food is elevated, the cocktails are complex, and it’s easy to forget that you’re sitting in the middle of a theme park when you’re there. Now, don’t get us wrong, the food and cocktails are a little pricey, but we sat here for two hours and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. You know that little midday break we always recommend — this could be a good place to take it.

Sounds like a great idea. But… I get this is “adult upscale ” but the price of drinks is absurd. Nope. Not going there…
A friend snagged a reservation the day that they started taking them, and the person she was traveling with had to cancel, so she messaged me earlier this week to see if I wanted to go. That was a very fast YES.
I agree with every point you make. There are some great beers on that menu that I enjoy, but the vibe of the room is NOT about the beer.
The appetizer portions are quite ample, even for Disney. I have a blue cheese allergy, and they doubled on the coned cheese, which is frankly amazing, as was the goat cheese. I got the Happabore Sampler at Oga’s a couple of months ago, and the cured meats on the Geo-82 charcuterie reminded me of the ones at Oga’s – in a very good way. My friend got the hummus and it was a much larger portion of hummus than she expected. For both of us, this was a very pleasant surprise.
I know there were zero proof options, and she opted for A Walk Through the Garden, which was light, refreshing, and suprisingly sweet (based on the menu description). I got the Banana Brulee, which looked gorgeous and tasted incredible. However, mine didn’t really give coffee flavoring, other than the bean on the bruleed banana. No worries, I really enjoyed the bourbon and rums used in that beverage.
This will definitely be a special treat kind of visit, due to the pricing and upscale vibe. We both really enjoyed the people watching, both inside Geo-82 and outside. I suspect this will be the fancy cocktail lover’s go-to for viewing fireworks. As it should be.
Sounds amazing. Is it a full bar or are you limited to the drinks on the menu?
I didn’t ask and wondered afterwards. I will ask the next time I go – but that won’t be anytime soon.
