You don’t need to do every ride in EPCOT.
The park is absolutely MASSIVE, and you might struggle to do every ride in one day if you’re also trying to enjoy the shows and entertainment, as well as thoroughly explore the countries of the World Showcase. So, when you have to prioritize rides, which do you choose? Well, today we’re here to tell you about one popular ride that you might be able to SKIP.
What You Should Skip
If you had to skip one of EPCOT’s most popular rides, the one we’d suggest you miss out on is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. This ride has been pretty popular since it opened back in 2021 for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
First of all, this ride can cause motion sickness for those who struggle with 3-D or 4-D motion, or those who struggle with rides that are screen-based. It’s a combination of sets and screens, and you have to wear 3-D glasses to get the full effect. Combine that with the unique motion of the trackless ride vehicle, and we’ve known quite a few people who got off this ride feeling queasy.
You may also want to skip this ride for the sake of its wait time. It gets incredibly long waits (especially first thing in the morning!), and those wait times aren’t always accurate. Personally, I’ve waited in this queue on three separate occasions when my actual wait time was MUCH longer than the posted one when I got in line. And trust me — this queue is definitely not exciting enough to stand in for 2.5 hours. The ride also tends to break down frequently, which can delay your entire day.
Finally, you might want to skip out on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure if you’re more of a thrill-seeker. Compared to some of the other popular rides, it doesn’t have much in the way of thrill (it doesn’t even have a height requirement, so BABIES are allowed to ride!).
What to Ride Instead
Instead of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we encourage you to prioritize Frozen Ever After or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Those are the other two rides that fall into the “top 3 most popular” category, and they tend to be more of a “can’t-miss” for a broader scope of people.
Frozen Ever After appeals strongly to families with Frozen fans or to those who love a classic Disney boat ride. It also has juuust enough thrill for your kiddos — that drop down the hill at the end can be a lot of fun! We would choose it over Remy’s because its queue is more interesting, and its wait time also tends to run LOWER than the posted time.
On the other hand, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is often proclaimed to be the best ride in EPCOT, and even the best ride in Disney World. It’s the only roller coaster in the park and the only roller coaster in Disney World with a backwards launch. Pair that thrill with its awesome randomized soundtrack, and it’s the kind of attraction that many fans believe is worth the wait.
But in the end, you’ll just need to choose the EPCOT rides that fit your personal preferences the best!

I love the slower, more traditional/classic rides: Spaceship Earth. Living with the Land. Water ride in Mexico. The new Moana walk-through is also fun. Why Disney keeps building rides that scare or make one sick has always boggled my mind. Wait was a storyteller!
OMG. Ratatouille is wonderful. And much less jarring than Guardians of the Galaxy. Both are exciting. But they are definitely not to be missed. The only downside is the wait, queues can be lengthy
That’s crazy. Cosmic Rewind is a puking machine. It’s a great queue and a great ride, but I had to leave the park after riding it. Remy’s didn’t make me feel bad at all but Cosmic ruined my day.
