If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ve probably figure out the basics like your budget, how long you’re staying, where you’re staying, what theme park tickets you need, and maybe even where to eat (so important, that last one!).
But you’ll still have to figure out HOW to get to Disney World. For many, that means flying into Orlando International Airport. The good news is that new flights are added to Orlando International Airport today, and most recently seven new flights have been announced for the airport.
So we’ve told you about a lot of these flights, but we wanted to give you the full rundown in case you missed any. Now, let’s get started. We’ll start with Breeze Airways, which will be starting service to Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, on May 9th, as well as service to Greensboro, North Carolina, on June 6th and service to Key West on June 12th. Yep, Breeze is betting BIG on Orlando International Airport.
If you’re wanting to get away from Orlando and head to Disneyland Paris, you might want to know that Air France is starting service to Paris, France, on May 21st.
Spirit Airlines has announced two new flights to and from Orlando International Airport. You’ll be able to fly from Chattanooga, TN, beginning on June 4th, and from Columbia, SC, from June 5th.
Southwest Airlines (which is currently undergoing some MAJOR changes) will be flying to Orlando from Sarasota, Fort Myers, and West Palm Beach, FL on August 5th.
This fall, Iberia will fly to and from Madrid, Spain, beginning on October 26th, pending government approval. Likewise, LATAM will be starting service to and from Lima, Peru, on October 26th, also pending government approval.
So why are there so many new flights to Orlando? Well, some airlines pulled planes from their inventory during the COVID-19 pandemic and were waiting for new planes. The new planes are now being added back to fleets and allowing airlines to expand their routes.
Stay tuned to DFB for more.
