Universal Orlando‘s newest hotel, Universal Helios Grand Hotel, is officially open!
Helios Grand Hotel opened early, on April 16th, while Epic Universe is set to open May 22nd. We got a first look at this “Mediterranean-inspired” hotel, including the highly anticipated Kids’ Suites! Come along with us for a FULL room tour!!
This all-new hotel was specifically built in part with the Epic Universe expansion (along with Stella Nova and Terra Luna). Helios Grand has 500 hotel rooms, 35 suites, plenty of dining options, family entertainment, and more! When you enter the lobby, you will “step into a sunlit sanctuary, where light, life, and laughter abound.” The hotel will have views of the new park, and even an exclusive entrance!
You can book from a variety of room options, including Standard Rooms that have double queen beds and can accommodate up to five guests, as well as Club Level Rooms with double queen beds that offer access to the Club Lounge. There are King, Celestial, and Presidential Suites available to book as well.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando has kids’ suites, like Minion-themed suites. Well, to keep in theme with one of the new worlds at Epic Universe, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Helios Grand Hotel has How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites! And, we got to check one out in person!
The suite sleeps six, featuring one king bedroom, two twin-sized beds in the kids’ suite, and a pull-out couch that accommodates two. The suite can also connect to a room with two queen-sized beds, allowing it to fit more people and featuring two full bathrooms.
Let’s head into the How to Train Your Dragon-themed room first!
Look at the beds! There are two twin beds in a Viking dragon house.
There are amazing details on the wall of Toothless…
…and the Light Fury!
This room is a lot darker than the rest of the suite and even has a lantern to light up the space.
There’s also another bedroom in the classic theme of Helios Grand. This one has a king-sized bed.
This room has a stunning view of Epic Universe, which we’re obsessed with.
There are plenty of outlets and USB ports around the suite, as well.
Under the TV, there is a full dresser to store your items.
The closet has hangers and extra bedding as well as an ironing board.
There’s a living room, as well, with a pull-out couch and a chair to watch TV.
For the bathroom, there’s a shower and tub combination with a curtain.
It has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash inside the shower.
The lighting in the bathroom is incredible, and we know we’re going to be taking a lot of pictures in here.
The gold accents make everything look so elegant and fancy, just like how Helios Grand is meant to feel.
For amenities, there’s a microwave, a single-pod coffee maker, and water.
There’s even a minifridge to store water, drinks, and snacks.
We also loved the “do not disturb” sign with says “counting stars” on it!
Helios Grand is a gorgeous hotel, and we’re so excited to be bringing you all the details here at Disney Food Blog. Keep following to stay up to date with everything new!
