Disney World is known for a lot of things, but one of the primary ones is its incredible shows and fireworks displays.
Specifically, Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom causes many people to cry nostalgic tears, especially when Tinker Bell flies, and Luminous in EPCOT has a large group of fans, too. However, sometimes being in the massive crowds to see these shows isn’t ideal, especially if you don’t do well with crowds. It’s also a bummer if you have to leave the parks to make your flight home in time…or is it? We just found out something that is a MAJOR game changer at Orlando International Airport (MCO) that you 100% may want to take advantage of before/after your next flight!
We just found out that there’s a very easy way for you to see the fireworks across essentially all of Orlando’s theme parks from MCO Airport, and it doesn’t even cost anything extra! Listed on their website, MCO Airport says, “The Terminal Top Parking garage is also one of the highest points around, and provides excellent views of the airfield, downtown Orlando, and the attractions, including the nightly fireworks displays.”
Now, you won’t be able to hear the music from these shows, of course, but if you’ve got a later night flight and want to ensure you’re there in plenty of time, this is a great way to get one last dose of the magic in before you head home.
There are many different ways to see Disney World fireworks without having to be in the midst of the largest crowds. In Magic Kingdom, watching the show from behind the castle can also be a great choice, or from the very beginning of Main Street, U.S.A., so you can see all the projections. In EPCOT, you can see the show as you walk around World Showcase and can find a less crowded spot as you walk, or just continue a loop and watch it as you move around.
