Celebrity SIGHTING! See Who Had a Blast at Disney’s NEW Zootopia Land

A beloved celebrity was recently spotted roaming the streets of Zootopia Land, at Shanghai Disney Resort!

With Zootopia 2 releasing later this year, a member of the cast needed to see what the NEW Zootopia Land was all about.

Academy Award Winner, and voice of Gary the Snake in Zootopia 2, Ke Huy Quan, slithered on over to Shanghai Disney Resort! There, he immersed himself in the vibrant one-of-a-kind land.

How cool would it be to run into him, I mean, who doesn’t love Ke Huy Quan?! The world-renowned actor has to have appeared in one of your favorite movies. He’s been in titles such as The Goonies and Marvel’s Disney+ Original Series, Loki. He won an Oscar in 2023 for his supporting role, in the groundbreaking film Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. If you don’t recognize him yet, then you must know him as Short Round, in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom!

In his next role, he is playing Gary the Snake in Zootopia 2. He could potentially be a new villain for our friends Judy and Nick, as reptiles are introduced into the world of Zootopia. Zootopia 2 is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 26th, 2025. We’re very excited for this movie! The first one was a huge hit with its box office success and award wins!

Zootopia Land opened in Shanghai in 2023. The land is the only of its kind anywhere in the world! This vibrant animal metropolis is truly remarkable. It is completely immersive! It features iconic locations from the movie, restaurants, and character meet and greets.

As you walk around the city, you may be greeted by a furry friend along the way. Characters will pop out of windows and talk to guests. An immersive feat that Disney Imagineering had to include.

We need to mention its E-Ticket attraction, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit — trackless dark ride where you join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in a high-speed chase to capture criminals who have broken out of jail. This ride is a MUST-DO at Zootopia Land.
