Magic Kingdom is home to tons of attractions that are geared towards all ages.
The Barnstormer, Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel, “it’s a small world,” and Dumbo are just a few that come to our minds immediately, but that’s one of the wonderful things about the park — it truly is for adults and kids alike! What makes Dumbo extra special is the indoor play place kids can run around in to burn off some excess energy, but we’re here to remind you that the play area will be CLOSED for refurbishment very soon!
The Disney World website currently states that the Dumbo indoor children’s playground will close for refurbishment on February 24th, 2025 and is expected to reopen sometime in Spring 2025.
Disney hasn’t announced what exactly this refurbishment will look like or contain, but we’re expecting to potentially see some of the playground equipment updated, perhaps the floors or benches redone, or the lighting to be changed a little bit.
Thankfully, the Dumbo attraction will remain open and operational during this time, so you’ll still be able to ride with no issues, but just keep in mind that your kids won’t have an option to get out of line and play while you wait. The Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station will be open nearby for kids to play in, but it’s not always operational.
