Listen up, The Last of Us fans; your time has finally come!

We’ve been waiting almost two years to announce this, but The Last of Us has finally announced a premiere date for season 2!

Season 2 of The Last of Us will be premiering on April 13th, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This seven-episode season will take place five years after the end of season 1, during which Joel and Ellie are “drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredicted than the one they left behind.”

If you loved Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian, you might want to try this HBO series. The show is based on the popular video game and takes place “after a global pandemic destroys civilization.” The show follows “a hardened survivor who takes charge of a 14-year-old girl who may be humanity’s last hope.” The same writers of the video game writers and producers of the show!

Along with Pascal, Bella Ramsey stars in the show, and viewers will see familiar faces from season 1, including Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley. There will be plenty of new costars, including guest star Catherine O’Hara.
