It’s EPCOT Festival of the Arts time! That’s right, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts is ON, and we’re so excited because it could be one of our favorite festivals in EPCOT.

Now, we’ve already visited EVERY SINGLE FOOD BOOTH to get you reviews of the food at this year’s festival. Of course, that’s not the only thing because there’s also the Disney on Broadway concert series, the Expression Section (where you can help paint a giant mural), all kinds of artwork to see AND buy, a fun Figment-themed scavenger hunt, and more. However, we’ve noticed that there are a few side effects to attending the festival. Let’s discuss.
The EPCOT Festival of the Arts is happening RIGHT now and will run through February 24th. As we mentioned, this festival is a LOT of fun, but we need to warn you about a few things.
There’s a lot to do
Okay, so there is a LOT to do at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. There’s a lot to eat, a lot of entertainment, LOADS of artwork to check out, tons of artwork to buy, and all kinds of other things to do. It can be…a lot, especially if you only have one day in EPCOT during your Disney World trip.

You can fill up FAST
Okay, so like we mentioned there’s a lot to do at the festival, but there’s also a LOT to eat. And here’s the thing: You might be surprised at how fast you’ll fill up on those little dishes you get at each booth. Add in drinks, and you might just end up making yourself a little miserable (also, pro tip: you might want to avoid Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind if you plan on eating a lot.)
There’s a lot to eat and drink at the festival
The best thing you can do to keep yourself from being TOO full and miserable is to make a game plan first: Check out the menus for every booth BEFORE you get to EPCOT and pick out those priority foods and drinks you want to try. Keep the list short and be sure you know when to call it quits on all that eating and drinking.

It gets dark earlier
Okay, it’s that time of the year when the sun sets a little earlier than we like in Disney World. So you’ll end up spending some time at the festival at night in the dark (and some parts of EPCOT are just DIM, y’all). You’ll need to keep that in mind if you’re visiting the festival.

However, you can offset that a little bit by getting to EPCOT as soon as it opens and hitting up those food booths as soon as you can. Then you can save the dark for enjoying Luminous “The Symphony of Us” and the special festival Spaceship Earth light show.
Your Guide to ALL the Entertainment at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts
You might have to choose between food booths or table service restaurants
Okay, here’s the thing, EPCOT also has some AMAZING table service restaurants, and many of those participate in the Disney on Broadway dining package, which guarantees you seating for that concert series. If the concert is a priority, you’ll want to book a dining package. But then, well, you might not be able to eat at all the food booths you want to eat at (although we know some folks will still try, and in that case, please re-read our “you can fill up fast” point).

It’s kind of a dilemma if you want to see the Disney on Broadway concert AND eat around the world at the food booths. Ultimately, you’ll have to decide. However, if you can spare TWO days for the festival, you might have more luck with everything.
