We’re already getting ready to say goodbye to January of 2025, but some of us are still struggling to remember to write that it’s 2025 instead of 2024.

You could say that we’re stuck in 2024, in some ways, and that’s especially true now that we just saw the list come out for which TV series and movies were streamed the most for the WHOLE year! It may not surprise you to hear that Disney landed on top of both lists, but what programs hit the number one spot may come as a surprise.
According to Nielsen, the most streamed series of all of 2024 was…Bluey on Disney+! This one doesn’t totally surprise us seeing how popular it is with kids, young adults, and adults of all ages, but it was viewed 55.62 BILLION times! That’s about 8 billion more times than the second slot, which was Grey’s Anatomy at 47.85 billion streams.

Interestingly enough, this was the only Disney+ series that landed on the list, but the top movies streamed in 2024 were a different story. Moana was the top streamed movie overall with 13.03 billion streams, about roughly 1.3 billion more than the second place spot, which was the Super Mario Bros. Movie on Netflix at 11.72 billion streams.

Other notable movies streaming on Disney+ that made it on the list are Encanto in 6th place (6.61 billion streams), Frozen in 7th place (6.28 billion streams — not bad considering it has been about 12 years since its release), and Inside Out in 9th place (5.78 billion streams).
