Even more changes are headed to Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios
We’re saying goodbye to Muppets Courtyard sooner than we care to admit, Aerosmith is planning their last show, and the Little Mermaid is headed back to the stage! Now we have an update to one of these changes coming and it’s pretty noticeable.
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid sign is gone ready to make way for the brand-new show, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure! The sign is one of the first major changes we’ve seen in the park indicating the arrival of the new show sometime in Summer 2025.

It’s gone!
The new show is a revamped version of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid which hasn’t returned since 2020. The new show was announced last year and we’ve been waiting on pins and needles to see what changes would be made. Earlier in January 2025, we got a sneak peek on Good Morning America of the show.

On the show, Chris Iannuzzi, the puppetry director, confirmed, “the puppetry in the show is all new” in the upcoming show! They also shared that rehearsals are currently underway.

The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure
We are expecting some big changes for this show like Prince Eric getting a bigger role and “Kiss the Girl” becoming the largest number in the show. Previously “Under the Sea” was the biggest number so we’re excited to see romance be brought to the stage.

The upcoming revamped Little Mermaid Show
This theater has sat empty for the last few years so we are beyond excited to sing under the sea with Ariel again soon! For now, we will miss waving hi to her as we run to Slinky Dog for our rope drop but we are hoping a new sign will pop up soon.

The old sign!
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure isn’t the only new show coming to Hollywood Studios this summer! A brand-new Disney villains show called Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is also set to take the stage bringing your favorite Disney baddies to life so they can show you that they’ve actually just been misunderstood all this time.
