Okay, so you’ve done all the big planning for your Disney World vacation and you know how long you’re going to stay, where you’re going to stay, and what tickets you need for your trip. You may have even figured out where you want to eat (a VERY important decision, in our opinion). But how are you going to get there?
The answer for many of us is that we’ll fly into Orlando International Airport, so we’ll be looking out for good deals on flights so we can make that happen for the last amount of $$$ as possible. Well, we may have some good news if you’re traveling to Disney World this spring: Southwest is having a sale on Spring airfares!
That’s right, if you have a Disney World trip booked for between February 11th and May 22nd, you may be able to score a deal on airfare with Southwest Airlines for as little as $69 each way (or 4,600 Rapid Rewards points, if you’re a member).
You will need to book your flight by January 23rd with a 21-day advance purchase required. Black-out dates apply from the continental U.S. to Hawaii, international, and San Juan, PR on February 13th through 16th and March 7th through April 10th. Blackout dates also apply to the continental U.S. from Hawaii, international, and San Juan, PR on February 21st through February 23rd and March 14th through April 27th.
You’ll want to jump on this sale quickly, though, before flights get booked up for those time periods. You’ll also want to make sure you know how you’re getting from Orlando International Airport to Disney World. You have a few options, including renting a car, taking a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or taking a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect.
Happy flying!
