There are a lot of quirks and special tidbits you need to know about before sailing with the Disney Cruise Line. Fortunately, you’ve come to the right place if you want the skinny on what to expect during your vacation!
When it comes to the Disney Cruise Line, we’re constantly providing sailing tips as well as things to look out for. From Day 1 to the end of your itinerary, it’s important to sail with confidence and composure so that you can have the ultimate relaxing and fun vacation. When it comes to sailing, starting out your adventure on the right foot is key, which is why you should know these important things to request on the day you board your ship.
Our team has gotten very familiar with the Disney Cruise Line over the years, and we’ve come up with some key things you can request on Day 1 of your trip, the second you board the ship!
Request Last-Minute Bookings
If you tried booking things before your cruise but your selections were sold out, you might not be totally out of luck.
Through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, you can book things like Spirits Tastings, Mixology classes, a Palo Brunch, and more. If you tried to book these experiences but they were sold out when you looked, open the app immediately upon boarding and you may be surprised to find that several reservation spots have opened up. While we can’t guarantee this will always be the case, it doesn’t hurt to check.
You can also pay a visit to Guest Relations to see what might be available. The app will generally give you a faster look at availability, but this is also a solid option.
Request Dining Seating
Have a specific seat in mind when dining on your Disney cruise ship? You can request dining seating!
Right when you get on board you can always request to sit with another stateroom if you’d like or if you want a specific seat in the dining room.
While your request is just that and may not always be met, Day 1 is the day to ask if you want the best chance to get your request accepted.
Request a Reservation at an Adults-Only Spot
While sailing aboard a Disney cruise ship can essentially be a family activity, it’s totally understandable that you may want some time away from all the kiddos. The Disney Cruise line offers several adults-only areas, such as lounges, nightclubs, the Quiet Cove Pool area, dining experiences, spas, and private island areas like Serenity Bay on Castaway Cay.
In all of your planning, you might have forgotten to get a reservation. Don’t worry! You can almost always get a reservation at these adults-only spots by going to the dining counters when boarding.
