If you’re looking for some unique food and drink options for this year’s Lunar New Year festival, you’ve come to the right booth!

Bamboo Blessings Booth
The 2025 Lunar New Year festival has now officially started in Disney California Adventure, and this year, the celebration is packed with food booths to get your celebration started! There’s even special merchandise and unique entertainment, all exclusively for the festival. We’ve made our way around to Bamboo Blessings to try out its food and drink offerings and see if this is a ca n’t-miss during the Lunar New Year festival!
2025’s Lunar New Year Celebration runs from January 17th through February 16th this year in celebration of the Year of the Snake. Disney’s Lunar New Year Celebration helps kickstart the festivities to enjoy in the park celebrating this new year between Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures.
Menu
There are quite a few food and drink offerings at Bamboo Blessings, but we’re ready for them! This year, you might see a familiar iconic snack returning to the festival — the Mickey Mouse-shaped Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron.

Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron
Here’s a look at this booth’s full menu with the beverages!
There’s a lot to dig into here, so let’s get started.
Eats
The new dining offering at this booth is the Mini Char Siu Pork Shanks with rice and pineapple chutney for $9.25.
The sweet and sour sauce gives it a nice tangy flavor with a subtle kick that we loved. The pork is really tender and packed with flavor, and the rice was also cooked well. The rice soaks up the sauce so you’re mostly getting that flavor. The pineapple provides a great tropical bite in addition to some acidity that also helps cut through the kick a bit. It’s a mild heat but subtly present, and the dish as a whole has really strong flavors and is surprisingly filling. We’d give it a 4/5!
We’ve already got a familiarity with the Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron. This treat is made of strawberry buttercream with a milk tea center, and this year, it will cost you $8.50.
We’re warning you that this treat tends to be a bit messy to eat. There are a lot of textures filling your mouth at once with this one, so you might find it helpful to have a drink nearby to sip. However, we don’t want to deter you from this one, as it’s a great option to try for those who LOVE buttercream and like treats that aren’t overly sweet. Just be careful when handling the macaron because all that red dye could stain your hands and fingers!
Now, let’s talk about the sips that are offered here!
Drinks
Our first to try out here is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. This drink is made with Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Ceylon Tea, hotteok-inspired brown sugar syrup, maple and butter pecan syrups, and oat milk garnished with banana milk-infused whipped cream. You can snag this new offering for $7.50.
The first thing we tasted is the Ceylon Tea and we found that all the flavors go well together, however it’s very milky in flavor and consistency. Our reporter wished it was less milky, understanding that it’s a “milk tea,” but was hoping for more tea flavor and stronger brown sugar, maple, and butter pecan notes. Overall, we’d give it a 3/5.
Bamboo Blessings also offers a Dragon Fruit Cocktail. Interestingly enough, this drink was offered at Longevity Noodle Co last year and has found a new home for this year’s festival. This drink is made with Dragonberry rum, white rum, lychee purée, dragon fruit, and Chinese five-spice syrups, lime juice, and house-made coriander tea garnished with a dried dragon fruit wheel and will cost you $18.

Dragon Cocktail
There are so many GREAT flavors to this drink, and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s very SWEET, but we’ll allow it since it’s also very fruity, making it really hard to taste the rum, which could be a dangerous thing if you like a boozy drink that doesn’t taste like one. While it is very sweet, it’s also quite tart from the lime juice, which we felt helped balance out the sweetness. We’d recommend this to anyone who wants an alcoholic drink but doesn’t necessarily like the taste of alcohol, and it’s a great option for anyone who’s got a sweet tooth.
Overall
All in all, we think this booth will be a real hit, but it’s really important to know what you’re getting into when you grab your items. If you love sweet options and you’re a big fan of milk tea, then you’ll likely be obsessed with this booth!
There’s plenty more where these came from! We’re trying out everything at this year’s Lunar New Year festival booths. Stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog for more!
