REVIEW: There's One Reason to Go to This Disney Springs Restaurant — And It's Covered in CHEESE

We are a little obsessed with Disney Food…like, well, that shouldn’t come as a HUGE surprise because we are the Disney FOOD Blog.

Sure, we cover other big Disney news, but we always come back around to the food we love, including Mickey waffles, Corn Dog Nuggets (or Mini Corn Dogs, as they’re now called), Cheeseburger Pods, Dole Whip, and more. We also get EXCITED when new snacks drop in Disney World. So you can imagine how fast we ran to Disney Springs to try two new menu items at Chicken Guy! (which is one of our fave quick service locations in Disney Springs!).

For those who don’t know about Chicken Guy!, it’s one of several Disney World restaurants owned by a celebrity chef. Chicken Guy! is the brainchild of Guy Fieri of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and well, Fieri seems to know chicken because we eat there quite a bit. Two NEW menu items have popped up at Chicken Guy! so we returned to check things out!

The first new item is a Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Shake. Okay, there are a lot of words in that name that makes us happy. Pumpkin Spice? Cheesecake? Shake? TAKE OUR MONEY. For $6.99, you get a hand-spun vanilla soft serve, blended with pumpkin puree and ginger snap crumbles, caramel swirl, and topped with fresh whipped cream and cookie crumbles.

This shake is FULL of pumpkin flavor and fall spices, so if that’s your thing (and it is ours!), you’re going to love this. The ginger snap crumbles add an interesting texture to the shake, too — they soften up, so they’re not crunchy, but just enough that you still need to chew them. It’s basically pumpkin pie in a cup with the ginger snap crumbles acting like a crust. This is what fall tastes like.

We also tried the new Pepperoni Chicken Parm Sandwich with Garlic Parmesan sauce, Marinara, pepperoni, Parmesan Cheese, and provolone cheese for $9.99. Um…hello? This baby is DELICIOUS. It’s everything you already love about Chicken Parmesan, but the garlic parmesan sauce just kicks it up a notch. It’s SO creamy and has a lot of delicious garlic flavor (obviously, if you’re a vampire, you might want to stay away…just saying). The bun is also soft and buttery.

The sandwich is also LOADED with meat, especially at a price point under $10. There are two fried chicken patties on it plus loads of pepperoni. The main flavors are the chicken and marinara, but then that garlic comes in and adds a little something extra. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The pepperoni adds a nice salty and meaty flavor. All we can say is, WELL DONE, Chicken Guy!
