Disney’s New Animal Kingdom Announcement Is Literally Guaranteed To Make You Smile

There’s a lot going on in the world right now — we don’t need to remind you. You deserve a break from the doom and gloom. You need some good news. Here’s a fun fact for you: the simple act of smiling can improve your mood!

We could use a smile-worthy story right about now, so if you could, too, come with us to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and let’s look at pictures of a baby animal. It’ll be fun!

Disney just shared some happy news about a new addition to the tiger family. A new Sumatran tiger cub was just born in Disney World — say hello to baby boy Bakso! He is cuddly, precious, and an absolute sweetheart. We can just tell. 🐯

Thanks to one of our FAVORITE Cast Members, @drmarkatdisney on Instagram, we learned that Bakso is about three weeks old already! He is described as playful and curious, and his mom, Sohni, is giving him allllll the cuddles and love he deserves.

Just look at this video footage. These two are SO. CUTE. For now, Bakso and his momma will stay backstage to continue bonding in private, but eventually, these two will be out on the Maharajah Jungle Trek! Disney teased Basko’s debut will be “in a few months,” so keep your eyes out for a little baby as we approach 2025.
