Disney Cruise Line will be having an exciting upcoming few years!
According to Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, four new ships are currently in production with another four MORE on the way. The next ship to set said is the Disney Treasure which will take its maiden voyage later this year. Shortly behind the Treasure will be the Disney Destiny, which we’ve been learning a lot about recently. Now, Disney has officially announced when this new cruise ship will take its maiden voyage and a few details about its upcoming itineraries!
According to Disney, the Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 20, 2025. Its first voyage will be a special four-night cruise on the brand-new ship. It will include stops at BOTH of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations in The Bahamas — Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
After the maiden voyage, the cruise ship’s first season will include four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. You’ll either stop at Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay, and some itineraries will even stop at both! Select cruises will also feature visits to Nassau, Bahamas, or Cozumel, Mexico.
Bookings for the inaugural season will open to the general public on Sep. 12, 2024, but be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line website for complete dates and itineraries ahead of time!
We can’t wait to set sail on this brand-new cruise ship! The Disney Destiny will have a brand-new theme — Heroes vs. Villains! You’ll be able to visit a Cruella De Vil lounge, grab treats at Edna Mode’s lab, dine with Marvel superheroes, and enjoy the new pub inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. There will be attractions, stage shows, restaurants, and more aboard this new ship, and it looks super cool!
Be sure to visit Disney Cruise Line’s website to book your cruise on the Disney Destiny soon! For more Disney news, keep following DFB.
