Heads up if youāre planning a visit to Disneyās Polynesian Village Resort hotel soon! Weāve spotted some mysterious construction walls up inside the main lobby of the Great Ceremonial House.
It looks like Disney has put up some construction walls around the Disney Vacation Club information center at this hotel. There is still a small desk with information about DVC along with a pin-trading board for guests to stop by and peruse, but thatās all youāll find over here right now.
Disney hasnāt shared what exactly might be going on behind the walls here, but weāre sure itāll look nice and refreshed once everything is all done! Weāre not sure how long the walls will be up, but we donāt think it will have too much of an impact on your stay at this hotel. You might have to walk around the walls a bit, but other than that everything should still be copacetic.

I really hope that they are not changing the Polynesian lobby to be bland and non-thematic, like so many other recent hotel themes. Some of their very youngest visitors might like it, but there are plenty of Gen Z and alpha visitors who prefer strong theming and the classic Disney experience, right alongside the guests who actually have money to spend. Disney seems to think that appealing to what they think the youngest people will want will increase attendance and DVC membership etc., and get rid of so those pesky ānostalgicā fans, but I think so far itās only proven that it only shot itself in the foot and not the gut. I still want to go to DIsney more than the younger people in my family, and itās not because they prefer Universal. Itās because Disney has changed too much of what they experienced already. THEY are turned off by the disregard for THEIR nostalgia and see Disney as even more cash-grabbing than I do. Disney needs to get their market research and projections straight. But hopefully Iām completely off-base about what could be happening at the Poly š
Maybe, hopefully, they are bringing back the beautiful water and garden feature that once decorated the lobby!
