Did you hear the news? A potential Avatar experience is coming to Disneyland!

When the news was first revealed, Disney CEO Bob Iger shared, “We have one Avatar-based land, Pandora, in Florida. We’re going to put a second one in California.” A land similar to what was created in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park in Disney World could make its way to Disneyland, but we don’t have a whole lot of details. Could this Avatar Experience at D23 be a CLUE?!

We’re bringing you ALL the announcements from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim near the Disneyland Resort from August 9th to 11th and in addition to major news, we also get to check out some incredible displays and experiences at this event. But, this Avatar Experience might just be the most exciting!

Avatar Experience pavilion!

This is an immersive walk-through experience inspired by “the alien beauty and unique storytelling of Avatar.” This pavilion will showcase the culture of the Na’vi, allow you to explore a Bioluminescent Forest, and soar through the mountains like a banshee!

There are plenty of Avatars scattered throughout the pavilion, each lit in a way that makes them really come to life in this area.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Avatar Experience without Banshees, and you’ll find quite a few different ones to check out here.

But, the bioluminescent forest might just be our favorite part of the whole thing. Everything is literally glowing and it’s absolutely breathtaking.

If you’re at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, make sure you stop by this new pavilion. As of now, Disney hasn’t dropped any details about what might be in store for a potential Avatar expansion at Disneyland, but the weekend is still young! We’ve got plenty of time for Disney to share some exciting announcements.
