Could we get anymore excited for the opening of Universal’s new theme park?!!
Epic Universe is opening in 2025, and we’re expecting to hear an exact opening date SOON. In the meantime, we’re constantly looking for new details to bring you — because we know you are wondering whether to plan a trip to this brand new Orlando theme park!
We recently found out more details about the rides and restaurants coming to Epic Universe’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter portal, but there’s also a lot of work being done on Super Nintendo World in the new park — check out this aerial photo @bioreconstruct just shared!

Universal has released height requirements on its website for two of the rides in Super Nintendo World, let’s take a look. The height requirement for Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will be 40 inches.
This ride combines practical sets and decoration along with virtual reality using special glasses to put you right in the driver’s seat of the popular video game series. You will enter through Bowser’s Castle and then hop into your kart as part of Team Mario. Just like in the Mario Kart video games, you will be collecting coins and items, driving through obstacles, and tossing items at Team Bowser.
You can be a bit smaller to ride Yoshi’s Adventure — the height limit is going to be 34 inches for that attraction.
You will be able to join the Yoshi on a search for glowing eggs throughout Mushroom Kingdom. Don’t worry — Yoshi’s not going to take you out for a speed lap around Super Nintendo World. The brightly colored Yoshi ride vehicles will move at a slow-moving pace making this a great option for the whole family. You will encounter lots of familiar characters and enjoy views of Super Mario Land.
There’s still MORE to learn about Universal’s Epic Universe! We’ll continue to keep you updated on everything from future announcements to coming out with us on its opening day! Be sure to stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog for the latest!
