We’ve got MAJOR Disney Cruise Line news!
The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and Disney revealed that the ship will have a first-of-its-kind design theme! Disney is dropping all sorts of announcements about this ship, and we officially know where it will sail and when!
Aboard the Disney Destiny, you must choose a side: Heroes or Villains. The ship’s theme will be inspired by Disney Heroes and Villains and will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.” Disney has announced that the ship will set sail in November 2025!
So, where will the Disney Destiny be sailing? You can catch four and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean during the ship’s inaugural season. This means the ship will stop at one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s private destinations — Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, which just opened.
Bookings open for Castaway Club members on September 6th, 2024, and then open to the general public days later on September 12th, 2024.
According to Disney, Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” Look out for both heroes and villains onboard the ship, including characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Disney teased new spaces, experiences, and entertainment on the ship inspired by the heroes and villains of those popular Disney films.
Currently, the ship is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and will join the Disney Cruise Line’s new fleet of ships, including the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and the Disney Adventure, which will have a homeport in Singapore. Stay tuned for booking information and more!
