ALL ABOARD! It’s time for some BIG Disney Cruise Line news, people.
We have already shared details on a Lion King-themed restaurant and we’ve taken you inside the staterooms on the new Disney Destiny Cruise Ship. Well, now it’s time to talk all things villains because, for the first time, there’s going to be a Disney Villains-themed ride on Disney Cruise Line!
YES. We said a Disney Villains RIDE. (My fingers are so happy to be typing that right now.)
If you have read previous Disney Cruise Line posts than you probably know about the AquaMouse. The AquaMouse is a 760-foot-long water ride aboard the Disney Destiny (and a few of the other Cruise Line ships as well). Each ship has its own unique special short that plays on the ride to fit in with that ship’s theme!
On the Disney Destiny, the short will be called, “In a Silly Song.” During this short, Mickey and Minnie will lead guests to the peak of Villain Mountain (OK, but we’ve seriously been waiting for something like this for ages, and we’re PUMPED). While coming face to face with villains like the Queen of Hearts, Chernabog, and Scar, Mickey and Minnie will “employ a silly song — and a bit of pixie dust — to transform each chilling encounter into a wacky surprise.”
The ride will feature an original soundtrack written by Emmy award-winning composer Christopher Willis and lyricist Elyse Willis! We cannot wait to hear it and bop along as we come face to face with some of our favorite Disney villains. And get this!! “Sing a Silly Song” will be just one of FOUR shows available on the AquaMouse. So you can ride it again and again and have a different experience (SO FUN!).
Bonus for Disney Villain fans!! This isn’t the only villainous thing that will be on the Disney Destiny. Disney has also announced De-Vil’s which will be a Cruella-themed bar! And if you love villains…you probably love spooky things. So, we are pleased to tell you that there will be a Haunted Mansion-themed bar onboard as well!! Whoop whoop!
The Disney Destiny is shaping up to be a pretty EPIC ship. If you want to know more about this ship, we have all the details in ONE PLACE — HERE!
