There are so many perks when you stay at a Disney World hotel!
Disney World just recently rolled out another NEW hotel perk that will be a game changer when visiting the parks. And we have already received confirmation that many of your favorite hotel perks will stick around into 2025. While there are a lot of great perks, there are two hotel perks that could actually ruin your morning.
As we said, there are so many great perks to staying at a Disney World hotel. You get free transportation to help you get around the resort. You can partake in Early Theme Park Entry, which could help you get on a super popular ride before the park opens to the general public. If you are staying at a Deluxe Resort, you can even take advantage of Extended Evening Hours!
The benefits don’t stop there! Those who have a stay booked in 2025 will get a brand new Water Park perk! On the day of check-in, anyone who is listed on your hotel reservation will receive FREE tickets to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Starting this month, hotel guests will be able to book Lightning Lane selections before the general public. In case you missed it, Disney is saying goodbye to Genie+ and hello to Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass. Those who are staying at a Disney World hotel can make their Lightning Lane selections seven days before their check-in date, which is a huge advantage, considering that people who are not staying at a Disney World hotel can only book three days in advance.
While all of this sounds great, because it is, there are two hotel perks that no one really talks about because they are not all that great.
If you are a person who loves to rope-drop and wants to squeeze everything into your park day, you probably want to be able to fuel up and have breakfast at your hotel.
The Ultimate Guide to Breakfast at Disney World
Many Disney World hotels have great breakfast options like ‘Ohana at the Polynesian and Topolino’s Terrace at the Riveria. The problem is that there are not many options open for breakfast in the early morning hours.
This can be a problem for those who want to get a head start on their day, as they will have to grab breakfast in the park and lose out on park time as many quick service and table service resort restaurants open between 7-7:30 AM.
If you are staying at a resort with a food court, like the All-Star Resorts, Pop Century, or Art of Animation, not all hope is lost because most of the food courts open at 6:30. However, that can still cut it close if you are trying to catch the bus super early.
The key is to plan ahead! We have a few suggestions to help combat missing out on breakfast!
- Get something from the grab-and-go section the day BEFORE at one of Disney’s quick service locations.
- Purchase breakfast-y items from a Disney gift shop. You can find donuts, cereals, and even cartons of milk.
- Buy breakfast items like granola bars or Pop-Tarts from your grocery store back home and bring them with you! If you do not have time to go beforehand, you can even stop at a grocery store outside of the Disney bubble to pick up some snacks and breakfast food!
One hotel perk that is not talked about a whole lot is Hey, Disney. Hey, Disney is pretty much your Disney-fied Amazon Alexa. You can ask it to play Disney Music, tell you information about the parks, you can request more towels, and even ask for a wake-up call.
We do not recommend that last one. The cool thing about asking your Hey Disney for a wake-up call is that there is a character alarm option. You can ask, “Hey, Disney, set an alarm,” and then your device will ask you, “What time?” You can then let your device know whatever time you are waking up.
Seems cute, right? Well, when your alarm goes off, one of the Disney characters will jump in and alert you. This is fine when it is Mickey or Minnie waking you up for the day but some characters are a bit more aggressive.
For example, ANIMAL from the Muppets might be the one to wake you up, and then he will really scare you and get your heart rate up! This might not be your dream way to wake up and start your day.
While these two perks may have their cons, staying at a Disney World resort can truly make your vacation even more magical and keep you closer to the magic of the Disney bubble!
