A NEW Disney character meet-and-greet location is about to open in EPCOT, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

EPCOT
Previously, you could meet Disney pals at the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, but Mickey and the gang decided it was time for an UPGRADE, so let’s head to the brand-new CommuniCore Hall to check out the new spot!
CommuniCore Hall is a brand-new building opening on June 10th,2024 that’s all about EPCOT’s seasonal festivals. It’s located inside CommuniCore Plaza, which is the outdoor area that has stages for live music, gardens, and other decorations. Inside the Hall, you can check out a new Encanto show, gallery space, demonstration kitchens, and a mixology bar.
There’s a lot of cool stuff to see inside, but we’re here for MICKEY! There’s actually a separate entrance for the character meet-and-greet, and it’s located in the Mickey & Friends space. To find the room if you’re already in the Hall, go out to the Plaza and head left around the corner.
Previously, Disney just said that “Mickey & Friends” would be at this meet-and-greet, but now we know it will always feature Mickey and at least one friend (sometimes there will be two). There are no guarantees as to who will be with him during each meet-and-greet, so, unfortunately, you can’t plan ahead.
As of now, Disney Cast Members confirmed characters in this meet-and-greet area will meet with guests continuously all day just as they do at Pete’s Silly Sideshow and Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom.
There is a Disney PhotoPass Photographer stationed at the meet-and-greet, and they can take a photo of you and the characters. Remember that it costs extra to get those photos later on, so if you don’t want to pay for them, you can also ask them to take a pic using your own phone or camera! To learn more about PhotoPass and how much those pictures cost, click HERE.
A fun fact about this area is that there are a bunch of hidden EPCOT nods in there in the artwork!
Be sure to check out the finer details while you’re saying “hi!” to your favorite characters!
This isn’t the only spot to meet characters in EPCOT — Don’t forget to say hello to Anna and Elsa from Frozen in the Norway pavilion, wave to Princess Jasmine in the Morocco pavilion, and watch for Donald Duck in the Mexico pavilion!

We also frequently see rare characters pop up near the International Gateway (the back entrance of EPCOT, where the Skyliner station is), so watch for some Disney pals over there. Those meet-and-greets are more random, but nearby Cast Members may have information about who could appear on the day you visit.
