NEWS: Disney Shares SNEAK PEEK INSIDE CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT

We’re getting closer and closer to EPCOT’s transformation finally being completed!

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have been nearing ever closer to being completed. These two festival spaces are the last step for the massive park transformation to be finished. While their opening timeline was moved from the end of 2023 to June of this year, we’re excited to finally get to explore them! We know a bit about what we’ll be able to do and see in these locations, but we haven’t gotten any kind of sneak peeks from Disney giving us an inside look at the new building — until now that is!

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will open on June 10th so in just a couple of short weeks! One of the many experiences Disney said we’ll get to have is a meet and greet with Mickey and Friends, which we can see has its very own sign on the building.

Now, Disney shared a little peek inside CommuniCore Hall on Instagram, and you’ll never guess who we got to see! That’s right our pal Mickey was there!

But we can’t forget about our favorite pal Goofy! He came along with Mickey and Minnie to show us just a glimpse of the inside of CommuniCore Hall.

The scene behind the characters has palm trees, and flowers, and could that possibly be the monorail line passing through? This could possibly be one of the meet and greet locations at the Mickey and Friends area of the building.

This is just a tiny glimpse into this large building, and we’re getting eager to see the rest of it! CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are in EPCOT’s World Celebration and will bring EPCOT International Festivals “to the center of Walt Disney World,” according to Disney.

CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor space where guests can come to relax and experience all the festivals have to offer. There is also an area that can host large-scale concerts or an intimate performance that extends out into the gardens nearby.

CommuniCore Hall will be the first fully-purpose-built structure in festival programming, designed with flexibility in mind. This hall will be able to host a wide variety of experiences with food, art, live music, and more. Disney clarified that this area will be open year-round — not just during festivals — and that it will be a place to take in some air conditioning while relaxing, too.

We also know that CommuniCore Hall will “be surrounded by serene views and exciting experiences.” And, more greenery and relaxing places will debut along with more food and drinks — and more entertainment. Disney said we’ll be able to enjoy a “beautiful mural of all things EPCOT past and present” with “a geometric exterior design inspired by Spaceship Earth, and of course, Mickey Mouse and his pals.”

There will also be a demonstration kitchen, mixology bar, and exhibition gallery space here. The hall is designed to help extend the festival experience and give chefs new ways to connect and experiment. Not only that but as part of the opening, a NEW Encanto show will debut at the newly opened CommuniCore Plaza stage. “¡Celebración Encanto!” will feature the iconic songs and stories from the movie. And don’t worry, Mirabel and Bruno will both be there!
