Are you counting down the days until Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, sets sail?!
We’re totally with you on that! We can’t wait to cruise later this year and see all that this ship has to offer, and to that point, we’re already mentally planning out what we’re going to wear. That means it’s time for us to have a chat about why your packing strategy will need to be different when it comes to the Disney Treasure!
We can hear you asking, “Why will our packing strategy need to be different with this cruise?” Well, have you seen all those themed lounges?? If you’re anything like us, it looks like we’re going to have an opportunity for some cosplaying/Disneybounding while we’re on board! So, let’s find out why!
Themed Lounges
Haunted Mansion Parlor
It won’t be long until we’re able to sip cocktails at the Haunted Mansion Parlor with our favorite 999 happy haunts! In this lounge, we’ll “partake in the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion, focused on the story of a jovial captain who entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancée.”
You can be sure to see famous and iconic characters from the Haunted Mansion attractions around the world, and maybe even some new haunts. This bar will tell a story in 30-minute loops.
If you’re a fan of the mysterious lore of the Haunted Mansion, this is an experience you can’t miss, and of course, you’re going to want to pack something Haunted Mansion-themed to help you get in the spirit!
Jungle Cruise lounge
In case you missed it, there will be a Jungle Cruise-themed lounge called the Skipper Society aboard the Disney Treasure. Fun fact: it will be the FIRST Jungle Cruise-themed bar and lounge on a cruise ship. This lounge will be located just off the grand hall aboard the ship.

You’ll be able to get drinks and snacks here, served by Cast Members who truly take on the role of Skipper and provide comical entertainment. (As you might expect, there will be all kinds of puns in this lounge.)

If the concept art is any indication, the level of detail here is going to be incredible, so you will have to plan out your Jungle Cruise-themed wardrobe accordingly! You can’t have your fellow skippers catching you without the proper attire!
Periscope Pub
Last up (for this post) is the Periscope Pub, which is inspired by the film and defunct attraction Disney’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This Submarine-inspired lounge will present us with plenty of “19th-century steampunk influences.”

Here we’ll be able to nosh on light bites, and craft brews, and the TVs throughout will allow us to watch sporting events while on the sea!
This is going to be a fun one. You can’t miss it. Also, while you’re going to need to use a bit more imagination when it comes to theming out your drip so that it’s 20,000 Leagues-approved, we trust you’ll do us proud!
You can visit the Disney Cruise Line website to make your bookings now. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news!
