Kids aren’t the only ones who have grown fond of a particular blue Blue Heeler.

As much as parents (and other adults) don’t particularly want to admit it, we’ve all grown rather fond of Bluey. The Australian TV show has become a staple in houses around the world, and we’ve all become quite attached. Just when we thought we couldn’t be emotionally shaken after the episode ‘The Sign,’ the creators hit us with a surprise episode!

Last week, what was thought to be the season 3 finale, ‘The Sign,’ took adults and kids on an emotional rollercoaster and left everyone in tears. The “last episode” ran for four times the length of any other episode, at 28 minutes long. That’s 28 minutes of emotional ups and downs!

Then at the last minute, the creators announced that one more episode would be premiering in the season! Literally titled ‘Surprise,’ the episode certainly surprised us all.

According to The Guardian, before the announcement of its airing the day before, the episode was falsely listed on TV guides as a rerun episode. The hope was to truly surprise the viewers. When the title was announced, no information was given about what to expect from this episode, but now that it’s premiered, many people are wondering if it’s the end of the popular show.

Luckily, Sam Moor, the producer of Bluey, shared, “No, it is not the end for Bluey. I’m sure we have many more surprises in store for you. We have more in store, and we are thinking what would be next.” So hopefully, we’ll all be able to catch a little more Bluey in the future. Who knows, maybe even a movie will be on the horizon. The show’s creator, Joe Brumm mentioned that perhaps the longer episode ‘The Sign’ was a “good way to test the waters” for longer content.
