There are SO. MANY. new Disney restaurants coming soon. Hope you’ve got a clear schedule and a pair of stretchy pants. There’s a LOT of new food headed your way! Now, let’s go to Downtown Disney and talk FOOD.

Downtown Disney

There are THREE new restaurants opening at Downtown Disney. Disney recently shared some NEW concept art and revealed some exciting details about what you can expect here, and when we tell you we are EXCITED, well, you’ll see why. 

Look out for a trio of restaurants called Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita, brought to you by Mexico’s first Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Disney just confirmed that these restaurants are opening in May 2024! Say WHAT?! That is VERY soon.

OK, now let’s talk about what to expect! First, there’s Céntrico, which will be a courtyard bar and restaurant described as an “energetic, central gathering place serving upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktails.” The menu will feature items like quesabirrias, chicken enchiladas, tlayuda (which Disney calls an Oaxacan shareable dish reminiscent of pizza), and Caesar salad.

At Paseo, Chef Gaytán “pairs his love of Mexico with French culinary style and technique.” We’re looking forward to trying the ceviches, Mama’s cochinita pibil (a roasted marinated pork), lamb barbacoa, and mejillones (a.k.a. mussels). Based on the concept art, this restaurant looks STUNNING, right?

Finally, there’s Tiendita. This restaurant is set to serve Mexican street-food on the go. It’s essentially a fast-food Mexican restaurant, complete with a self-ordering kiosk and menu options like esquites (roasted corn), fish tacos, ice cream-stuffed chocolate tacos (OOH!), and chorizo breakfast burritos and chilaquiles (marinated tortilla chips with egg).
