Is This a CLUE That a Bizarre New Magic Kingdom Attraction Is Coming Soon?

Disney is planning to add a new attraction to Magic Kingdom.

No, we’re not talking about the expansion that’s coming to Magic Kingdom, unfortunately. We’re talking about the new attraction coming to Storybook Circus — Smellephants on Parade. This new attraction will be sponsored by Scentsy, the wax melts and signature smells company. You’ll smell your way around Storybook Circus. No, we’re not kidding. When we were recently visiting Big Top Souvenirs, we noticed a change that might be an indication of some upcoming construction!

We stopped by Big Top Souvenirs recently, and we happened to notice that some new hedges and garbage cans were out front of the building where a ticket booth used to be set up.

Previously, there was a little, fake ticket book right outside of Big Tob Souvenirs. But as you can see it’s been removed.

Typically, Disney uses hedges to cover something up for construction or refurbishment. Since we know that a new attraction is coming here, we had to wonder if they were there because something new for Smellephants on Parade would soon be replacing the ticket booth. When we looked closely at the hedges, just underneath was what appeared to be a hole with some metal sticking in the ground.

We can’t say for sure, but this definitely makes us think that Disney will be starting work over here soon! Smellephants on Parade will be a “family-friendly ‘search and sniff’ adventure in Storybook Circus.” We’ve seen new signs popping up in the area of Magic Kingdom, so it’s possible that this experience could be all around Storybook Circus.

We’re not sure when Smellephants on Parade will open, but these hedges may be a sign that Disney is preparing to bring it to Magic Kingdom soon. We’ll be keeping your eyes peeled for new information, so stay tuned to DFB!
