Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe is still at least a year away from opening, but there is a LOT going on in the new theme park right now.
We recently got a TON of information about all five lands the new park will bring to Universal, as well as learned more about all the new rides the new park will have. One of those rides is Starfall Racers in the Celestial Park part of Epic Universe, and we’ve got HUGE news to share about that ride.
Christina Watkins of WESH recently posted a video obtained by the news team’s chopper unit of testing being done on Starfall Racers. Yes! You can now watch the ride’s vehicles make their way along the track and see what this ride is like. HOW FUN, right? (As you can see, we previously saw some ride testing being done in Dark Universe, too).
NEW: Chopper 2 spotted ride testing today for Starfall Racers at @UniversalORL’s #EpicUniverse! Whew! Here’s more about the duel-coaster: https://t.co/m84GtctT6m @WESH pic.twitter.com/P9ODHcKFan

Starfall Racers will be in Celestial Park, the first land guests will encounter when they enter Epic Universe. The park will feature “lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”
Nestled within Celestial Park, Starfall Racers is a dual-launch racing coaster that will reach speeds up to 62 miles per hour and heights up to 133 feet. The track? It’s 5,000 feet long! It will also feature all kinds of dynamic maneuvers, including the “Celestial Spin,” where two vehicles will invert in a crisscross.
The ride will also feature a pop culture reference. Universal previously teased that each coaster vehicle will have a special “gift” that’s “Truly outatime!” Sounds like these vehicles are getting a reference to the license plate on the Delorean in the Back to the Future movies (and the Back to the Future Ride that used to be at Universal Orlando).
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more Epic Universe news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
