I have terrible news to share for anyone who wishes to remain blissfully ignorant of the horrors of the world.

An Ode to the Dog.

I have discovered a terrible Disney corn dog secret. A secret so horrifying and ghastly that I’m not sure I’ll be able to go on like this. Please, tell my family I love them because after what I have just witnessed — I think I may be deceased.

Here’s the thing: I love hot dogs in all forms. I love corn dogs. I am even the proud human of a wiener dog. And, I also love pickles (I promise this isn’t going anywhere weirder than it already has). So, naturally, the infamous Pickle Corn Dog from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs in Disneyland is my ultimate dream snack. What I do NOT love, however, is the fact that I have now seen how they are made. Don’t get me wrong, it makes sense when you think about it. The problem is that I had not thought about it, and here we are.

Panko Crusted Pickle Dog

The Pickle Corn Dog is exactly what it sounds like — it’s a hot dog, stuffed into a whole pickle, battered with panko and deep fried. It’s obviously also on a stick (because duh). You might be asking yourself, “Has science gone too far?” And, honestly, yeah it probably has. But that won’t stop me from indulging my gluttonous fantasies, especially in Disney parks.

What might stop me, though, is the behind-the-scenes video that Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs shared of just how they make their Pickle Corn Dog. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. And, if you want to try the Pickle Corn Dog for yourself, you might be in luck because a Blue Ribbon is opening at Disney World’s Boardwalk soon!
