Who doesn’t love a sweet snack at Disney World?
Well, we may or may not have found some dupes for Crumbl Cookies — some of the biggest, sweetest, and most popular cookies you can find right now. We know about the cookie bar at Summer House on the Lake, and the HUGE cookies at Gideons Bakehouse — but there are more cookies hiding in a place you may not expect.
It is time to take a trip to EPCOT and visit Sunshine Seasons (after riding Living with the Land, of course –we’re not animals). When we saw “Artisinal cookies” on the menu, they caught our attention IMMEDIATELY.
We tried the Honey Sugar Cookie for $4.49. It’s a sugar cookie topped with honey-flavored icing, a honeycomb, and a cute edible bee!
We were big fans of this one! You get a lot of nice hints of honey in the frosting, but it isn’t too overpowering. The sugar cookie itself felt like a soft, standard sugar cookie. The frosting was creamy, and the cookie itself was nice and chewy. We enjoyed this a lot, so if you’re looking for a sweet treat with a unique flavor, check this cookie out at Sunshine Seasons!
Up next, we grabbed the Birthday Cake Cookie for $4.49. This one looked super cute and reminded us of a classic Crumbl cookie, so we knew we had to give it a try. We see what you’re doing, Disney!
We think this is the same base sugar cookie as the honey one, but we found that the flavor here was slightly underwhelming. The frosting didn’t have any distinct flavor — it just tasted like sugar. We didn’t pick up any notes of vanilla or any other hints of different flavors. While this cookie is pretty to look at, we would probably choose the honey bee cookie if we had to pick one. Crumbl: 1 Disney: 0.
After this, we decided we needed a drink to finish our experience. We noticed that Sunshine Seasons had a new boba drink, so we decided to give it a try, too! This is the Tropical Boba Juice, and we got it for $5.49. This juice is made of Minute Maid strawberry, Minute Maid mango, Minute Maid zero-sugar lemonade, and boba pearls.
This drink is so pretty, but does the flavor measure up? Well, it depends on what you like! When we tried it, we immediately noticed that the mango flavor overpowers the drink. It took a few sips for us to find the strawberry and lemonade flavors — and once we did, it was STILL difficult to pick up on them. If you like a mango flavor, this drink is for you. If you’re looking for something that is more of a combination of those flavors, maybe pass on this. The boba was a nice addition to the drink — they were your typical boba pearls but didn’t have much of a flavor.
Something that we noticed immediately was that there was a lot of pulp at the bottom of this drink. It added A LOT of texture, and you couldn’t really avoid this. All you anti-pulp people, beware!
Overall, could these cookies rival the likes of Crumbl? We thought the Honey Sugar Cookie was tasty, but the Birthday Cake Cookie left a lot to the imagination, so we wouldn’t consider that a dupe. It was still good, but we were hoping for more.
