We see it happen every year. Disney releases some snazzy new merchandise (perhaps a popcorn bucket? maybe a tote bag?), and Disney fans FLOCK to stores to check it out. Speaking of new merchandise, January 12th marks the first official day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and each new festival brings TONS of popular new souvenirs to Disney World.

We’re just getting started at this year’s festival, but there already seems to be one HOT ticket item. And no — it isn’t a Loungefly bag or a pair of Minnie ears. Wait until you see the new item that is literally flying off the shelves.

Yes, we know that the expression “This thing is flying off the shelves” is often used as a hyperbole, but we’re not kidding when we say that this new souvenir is selling out FAST. One moment, we were looking at a display full of bags…the next, they were GONE!

It’s $90 and features a TON of interior pockets, plus some colorful embroidery and a Figment patch!

Note that EPCOT is instituting a limit of TWO per person on Lug items at the Creations Shop.

We also spotted another NEW Figment-themed Lug purse. This one is more of a crossbody-style purse.

If you can’t make it to EPCOT right now, we’ve got some good news! This bag is available online, too.

UPDATE: A Cast Member informed us that the Lug Crossbody bag has sold out at Creations Shop, and we noticed that it’s sold out online as well. We’ll be watching for a re-stock, but the Cast Member warned us that it might not be back in stock in EPCOT until February.
