The start of the 2024 year is bringing about lots of CHANGES to Disney World and it seems that rides are no exception.

We already knew that Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster is getting ready to close for a longer refurbishment expected to last through Summer, as well as a few other rides. Now, we’ve got another ride to talk about that will also be ready for a refurbishment over the next few days.
Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is expected to close TOMORROW.

Beginning January 8th, 2024, Kali River Rapids will no longer be available for rides for its extended closure. During this time we expect Disney will be inspecting and performing maintenance on its water-based attraction and its ride vehicles. January and early in the year is a time when Disney tends to pull rides for regular routine maintenance, which we expect is due to the anticipated dip in crowds during these times.

While Disney hasn’t posted exactly when this refurbishment is expected to end and rides resume we were only able to see out through a few days in March 2024 and no posted operational times were listed through then.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for when you can expect this ride to resume operation but in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog!
