There’s a SECRET Way To Customize Your Next McDonald’s Order – And We’re Not Gatekeeping

McDonald’s has been super busy creating new spinoff menus for their CosMc’s restaurants, introducing nostalgic toys in their adult happy meals, AND exclusive Squishmallow plush toys with their happy meals for kids. But we’ve learned of a NEW way to customize your nugget order, and it’s blowing our minds!

We’ve got four magical words for you: extra crispy chicken nuggets. That’s right — McDonald’s fans around the nation are starting to test out this extra special request.

The first we’ve seen of this hack was posted on TikTok back in February of this year by @xomakel2, and since then, it seems that more and more McDonald’s visitors are starting to make the request to the order to test if it’s possible at their nearest restaurant.

Tommy Winkler (@tommywinkler), also known as The Food Guy, stitched the original video with his own attempt at making the “extra crispy” request with his own 10-piece McNugget order at a McDonald’s drive-thru window.

He looks into the camera while waiting for the employee’s response, and after a few moments, she concedes to his request. After receiving his order, Winkler looks suspiciously over the nuggets and seems content with his initial take at the difference, noting, “These actually look extra crispy.”

But his review confirms his suspicions when he takes a bite of the extra crispy nugget. The audible crunch is pretty telling. He then continues to take several bites of more nuggets, suggesting that this crunchy new texture was not just a one-off occurrence.

Nuggs are life

We’ve seen other social media users request “well done” nuggets, too, though McDonald’s has not commented on the trend yet. Keep in mind that since this is not an official McDonald’s menu request, your experience may vary. But who knows — if you ask nicely, you might get lucky!
