If you are headed to or from Florida during this holiday week, you’re going to need to add a few dollars to your gas budget.

Gas prices have jumped in Florida.

In mid-December, Floridians were enjoying the lowest gas prices in more than two years, with an average price of $2.92.

But today, AAA reports that the average price for a gallon of gas in Florida is $3.12, the same as the average price for the nation as a whole. The average price in Orange County, where Orlando is located, is $3.14.

The average price for a gallon of gas is $3.12 in Florida.

Gas prices typically rise around the holidays, as more people hit the road and demand for gas rises. AAA had projected that more than 115 million people would travel at least 50 miles from home during this week.

Analysts said gas prices are expected to fluctuate over the next several weeks.
