Christmas Eve has finally arrived in Disney World.
Of course, we’ve been celebrating the holidays since early November, way back when the first decorations started going up in the parks. We went to the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and we’ve been busy eating ALL the holiday snacks. But now, the day BEFORE the big day is finally here. Now, Christmas Eve is usually a very busy day in the parks, so let’s take a look at the crowds in Disney World.
So let’s take a look at how busy things are in the parks in Disney World today.
We got to Disney World early and so far the morning crowds have been pretty manageable.
We couldn’t wait to kick things off in Magic Kingdom, and it looks like we weren’t the only ones! It’s a pretty mild day by Central Florida standards.
There was a good number of people entering the park, but overall, things didn’t look too chaotic just yet. Even with all of the eager people, it only took us about 30 minutes to get from the parking entrance, on a tram, on a monorail, and then through the Magic Kingdom tapstalls. All in all, even with everyone else, it’s not a bad theme park commute!
The Magic Kingdom entrance had its usual congestion and photo-takers, but not too shabby if you know how to navigate clumps of people politely.
Main Street, U.S.A. started to get a bit more congested as we headed towards Cinderella Castle, but we often see this area get pretty packed.

We stopped by Adventureland and spied only a 10-minute wait for Pirates of the Caribbean!
We also peaked around Liberty Square, but it’s been a mellow start to the day!
And over in Frontierland, we didn’t see too many people just yet. And since Big Thunder Mountain is the only big attraction on this side of the park until Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens later this year, folks might be focusing their attention on Fantasyland or Tomorrowland.
Like we said, this is a BUSY time in Disney World, and we expect it to stay that way through New Year’s Day. If you are here during this time, be sure to pack your patience. You might also want to consider purchasing Disney Genie+ to use those Lightning Lanes for rides. We’ll be keeping an eye on crowd levels, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
