We have A LOT to look forward to in 2024 at Disney World!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Specifically, over at Magic Kingdom, we are excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening. This new attraction is based on Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (2009) and will take you on a musical adventure with Princess Tiana and Louis as they prepare for a Mardis Gras performance. We’ve been monitoring the construction progress that is being made, and on our recent day at Magic Kingdom, we found quite a few improvements that have been added.
A few months back, we got to see the completion of this gorgeous mural that had been painted in the queue. The newest mural was designed by Lousiana native artist Malaika Favorite and will be featured in the queues of both Disney World and Disneyland’s new attraction. We love seeing even the little steps become complete because that means we’re almost there — did you catch the song reference from the film?

We noticed this week they have added a wooden picket fence to the exterior of the attraction.

Fence added
In the actual queue, they have started putting a fence railing in. It reminds us of the wrought iron style that you’ll find in traditional New Orleans design. You can see below the new fence compared to the old wooden beams from Splash Mountain.

In addition, they have added new stone pavers in the queue, which look to be almost complete.

You can see a more complete picture here of all the hard work that is going into making this attraction complete. While we still have a long way to go, they are making some great progress.

There is a lot to do
On the other side of the queue, you can see progress being made to the exit stairs for the train station. They closed the area to stain the steps, and the project looks like it is almost complete.

New Stairs
One thing we noticed most recently is that the outside of the attraction is looking a lot more green!
There is a lot more greenery, plants, and flowers on the exterior of the attraction.
Magic Kingdom guests will get to experience this new attraction when the ride opens in late 2024. We cannot wait to see what other changes will be made to the ride, and we are counting down the months until we can experience it for ourselves.
