It’s Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, and Disney World is celebrating in a BIG way!
First of all, a brand-new Mirabel from Encanto meet-and-greet opened up at Magic Kingdom in Fairytale Garden, and Bruno from the same film is joining the Adventure Friends Cavalcade. On top of the new characters, Disney has introduced quite a few special snacks in the parks — and we’re trying some of them out!
For this treat, we’re heading to Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom to snag the Encanto Cupcake! It’s $6.29 and made with vanilla cake, guava and dulce de leche filling, vanilla frosting, white chocolate Encanto decorations, chocolate leaves, and crispy pearls.
First of all, it’s a very cute treat, and Encanto fans would probably want it for the pics alone! The yellow cake is very moist and the fillings helped to add to that texture. The guava was the stronger of the flavors, but the dulce de leche reminded us a lot of peanut butter in consistency and flavor.
Our one issue with this cupcake is the frosting on top — there was just too much of it. It’s fairly sickly sweet and can be very messy. We walked away with stained hands! Ultimately, we think this would be better with less frosting, but it’s overall not bad.
The cupcake is a decent size for the price you pay and those looking for a sweet treat would probably enjoy it. We recommend avoiding it if you’re averse to extra frosting or if you’re not a fan of guava.
