Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a small bakery in Disney Springs that serves up some wildly delicious treats. Each month, the bakehouse offers limited-time specialty treats, and since it’s September 1st, the September goodies have been announced!

This month Gideon’s is proud that Stuart and Bonnie have finally found each other, so the bakery is highlighting each of their specialty cookie flavors! (In case you’re not familiar with Stuart and Bonnie, they’re some of the little characters that Gideon’s makes up for each of their treats.)

First up is Bonnie’s Cookie. This is a Lemon Poppy Crumb Cookie!  If you love lemons and muffins, this is the cookie for you! It’s a lemon poppyseed cookie filled with poppyseeds and bits of white chocolate. It’s then covered in lemon butter crumbs and a thin sugar glaze.

This is a returning flavor — we really enjoyed it the last time we tried it!

Limited Edition cookies

But of course, we can’t forget about Stuart’s cookie. Stuart has brought us an Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip cookie. This is a vanilla bean chocolate chip cookie that is infused with orange and topped with dark chocolate, South Florida pecan pralines, and candied orange peel!

This is another returning flavor, and we thought it was deliciously bright and well-balanced the last time we had it.

This sounds like the ultimate Southern cookie with those oranges and pecan pralines. Orange and chocolate can be a yummy combination, and if you like it, run, don’t walk, to get this cookie! There is a two cookie limit per person and they are available only while supplies last.

Of course we don’t only get these two treats this month. There are two cake slice options that match these fancy cookies. First, there is a Lemon Crumb Cake to go along with the Lemon Poppy Crumb Cookie (another returning flavor).

And there’s an Orange Pecan Chocolate Cake that matches the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip cookie.

All of these cakes look and sound amazing. These treats are all here for a limited time in September and only while supplies last.

Be sure to check them out while you’re strolling through Disney Springs at Walt Disney World! Also, just a note that Gideon’s Bakehouse will be closed today, September 1st. So grab your cookies and cake starting tomorrow, September 2nd!
