It’s spooky season in Disney World and we’re celebrating the best way we know how: at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! There are treats to try, merch to shop, and of course — rides to ride! Not just any rides, either, because certain attractions are totally transformed for the party — and we’re bringing you with us to check them out!

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean

In previous years, we’ve seen live pirate characters in the queue during the Halloween party. Unfortunately this year, that is not the case. Instead, you’ll find the pirate band occasionally playing music outside of the attraction.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain

During the Halloween party, Space Mountain turns out all the lights! That’s right — it’s PITCH. BLACK. This adds to the anticipation and excitement of each turn on the classic ride. While it was down when we tried to ride it this evening, we did confirm with a Cast Member that is the overlay this year.

Mad Tea Party

Mad Tea Party

The overlay of the Mad Tea Party has special lighting that changes colors from green to pink. It’s a more moody version of the ride and adds to the spooky mood.

Monster’s, Inc. Laugh Floor

Monster’s, Inc.

This attraction is a trick-or-treat spot, but as you pass through to get your candy, you’ll hear the monsters tell you some Halloween-themed jokes!

Haunted Mansion

Although the ride itself stays the same, the Haunted Mansion QUEUE gets a little spookier. We saw Madame Renatta greeting guests who were waiting in line!

Keep in mind that these ride overlays are only available during the Halloween Party, so get your tickets now if you want to experience them!
