A NEW Disney+ and Hulu Duo Bundle is Coming SOON

The Walt Disney Company Q3 earnings call revealed a lot about the status of Disney+, the Disney parks, and more.

We learned that Disney may soon take a closer look at password sharing and has plans to increase the price of its ad-free Disney+ tier. Now, we have an update on a new Disney+ option that may appeal to new customers.

After taking a closer look at the data, Disney+’s subscriber count increased by 800,000 (excluding Disney+ Hotstar, with saw a 24% loss in subscribers). That said, the company saw an overall loss in subscribers. Although Disney+ lost subscribers, the average monthly revenue increased from $7.14 to $7.31 “due to higher per-subscriber advertising revenue.” Importantly, Bob Iger noted that about 40% of new Disney+ subscribers are choosing the ad-supported option.

In light of these updates, Disney plans to release a new Duo Bundle, which will include Disney+ and Hulu. The Duo Premium tier will come with access to Disney+ (ad-free) and Hulu (ad-free) and will cost $19.99 per month. Note that the Duo Basic bundle includes the ad-supported versions of Disney+ and Hulu for $9.99.

The new $19.99 Duo Bundle will be available starting September 6th, 2023. This deal offers a 37% discount compared to the current standalone plans.
