Southwest Airlines Announces NEW 50% OFF Deal!

If you’re a big fan of Southwest Airlines, then you better ACT FAST.

Southwest has announced NEW nonstop flights to Orlando and limited-time deals in the past, both of which likely caused a lot of excitement within its dedicated fan base. But now there’s a new Southwest promotion you’ll want to take advantage of!

Southwest has introduced a buy one, get one 50% OFF promotion for flights! Here’s how it works. First, know that the promotion is for Rapid Rewards members. This is Southwest’s rewards program that helps you earn points for the flights you purchase and then redeem those points for flights and more. The program is FREE to join and you can click here to learn more about it.

Once you join the Rapid Rewards program, you can “register” for the promotion. You’ll simply hit “register” on the promotion website and see a green checkmark indicating that you registered for it. Then, you’ll need to buy either a round trip or 2 one-way flights by August 3rd, 2023 (by 11:59PM CDT). This initial travel needs to be completed by September 30th, 2023.

Then, you’ll get a 50% off promo code that is valid to use from October 17th through November 23rd, 2023 (that’s the time period you’ll have to purchase your next flight). This second round of travel must be completed between January 8th and March 6th, 2024 (and some blackout dates apply, specifically 2/15-2/19, 2/23-2/25, & 3/3/24).

When you’re booking your flights, be sure to include your Rapid Rewards number.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind:

The deal is NOT valid on flights that you buy with Rapid Rewards points
On October 17th, 2023, “the promotion code will be available in My Account on Southwest.com under Payment and also emailed to the email account associated with the account used to purchase.”
Note that “Changes made to any itinerary after purchase of a one-way or round trip revenue flight may eliminate qualification for this promotion.”
The “50 percent promotion code savings valid for one-way or round trip Wanna Get Away® and Wanna Get Away Plus™ fares booked on Southwest.com.”
