Okay, so the whole TRAVELING part of Disney World is probably the part we’re least fond of.
Most of us have to fly to Disney World, and let’s admit it — flying can be a hassle, especially when you take in all the delays that can happen, as well as having to deal with how busy Orlando International Airport can get sometimes. However, travel is about to get easier to Disney World for everyone, so that should take some of the ickiness of air travel out of the whole experience!
Here’s how traveling to Disney World is going to be easier soon!
More Direct Flights To Orlando
There is nothing more annoying than having to take a flight with a connection to Orlando — it just means you’ll get to Disney World a little later than you would if you’d taken a non-stop flight. Plus connections make flying tricky because it’s easy to miss a connecting flight if your first flight ends up being delayed. The good news is that airlines are offering MORE nonstop flights to and from Orlando ALL the time.
This is true for even Southwest Airlines, and we know how many of our readers use Southwest to get to and from Disney World. A lot of the budget airlines are adding more nonstop routes, too.

Free Wi-Fi On Planes
Delta Airlines has started to offer free Wi-Fi for ALL customers flying on their planes. The company began rolling out the service in early 2023. “It’s going to be free, it’s going to be fast and its going to be available for everyone,” Delta CEO Ed Bastian said at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
You will need to be a member of Delta’s free Skymiles loyalty program to get free Wi-Fi (otherwise it’s $10), but you’ll be able to connect multiple devices at one time so you can update your social media accounts to let everyone know you’re going to Disney! (Yes, we all do it.) We think other airlines might eventually offer free Wi-Fi, too.

MCO Reserve
Okay, if you’ve ever seen the security lines at Orlando International Airport, you’ve probably panicked because they can be long and chaotic. BUT, there’s now a way to bypass all that and go through a shorter security line. There’s now a FREE service you can use called MCO Reserve that lets you reserve a spot in a shorter security line.
Here’s how it works: you just show up at the time you’ve specified, go through the shorter line, and then wave buh-bye to those people who are standing in the longer lines who didn’t use the service.

TSA PreCheck Is Cheaper Now
However, MCO Reserve won’t get you a faster security line at your home airport. But you know what will? TSA PreCheck! And the service actually lowered its price in 2022. Where it once cost $85 to sign up, you can now do so for $78. If you need to renew it, you can do that online for $70.
Is TSA PreCheck worth it? Well, if getting through airport security with the least amount of hassle — and as fast as possible — is a priority for you. YES! The membership lasts for five years, so it could certainly pay for itself if you consider time as money. You’ll also be able to keep your shoes on through most security checkpoints, as well as keep your baggie of liquids in your carry-on.
Why NOW is the time to sign up for TSA PreCheck
Getting a passport is easier
It’s even easier now to get a passport. The U.S. Department of State has announced that it will hold “Special Passport Acceptance Fairs” to help those who want to get a passport. These events will be held at post offices, local government offices, and libraries.
To locate a fair near you, visit the Department of State website and check its calendar. Some of the events do require appointments, but others allow you to just walk in. Just note that it might take a while for you to get your passport, so the earlier you do it before your trip, the better.
