We bet you’re walking right by one of the COOLEST shops in Magic Kingdom.
We’re talking about Crystal Arts. Sure, you’ve probably peeked in the window, and maybe you’ve even seen the elaborate crystal Cinderella Castle there. Maybe you saw that AMAZING 50th Anniversary Tiara. But did you know you can also get some cool custom engraving and etching here, too? But there’s something else you can get here, too: custom 3D laser etching.
The custom 3d laser etching machines at Crystal Arts are now up and running and ready for your business. You’ll find the etching area tucked away in a little corner of the store (behind that crystal Cinderella Castle in the display window).
You’ll see a placard that tells you to scan a QR code, which will take you to a page with all the prices and options that you have for etching.
From there, you can upload the photo you want to be turned into a 3D cube.
Several options are available, including a 3-D cube, with prices ranging from $95 to $165 (plus any other options you add on).
You can also get a Keychain, starting at $35 (with additional keychains priced at $15), as well as add an etching of Mickey and Minnie for $19, the Walt Disney World logo for $10, and text for $15. Again, pricing will depend on the level of customization you choose for your piece. 2D laser etching is also available.
You might also want to consider a Rotating Light Base to add to your cube for $35.
Note that you will need a USB adapter for the light base to plug it into an outlet — those adapters are not sold in Disney World, but they look like this:
Once you’ve made your order, you’ll need to see a Cast Member to complete the order and confirm your pick-up time. The minimum pick-up time for a 3D order is 3 hours, while the minimum pick-up time for a 2D order is an hour. This is a great idea for a gift or a unique souvenir you won’t be able to get anywhere else.
We’ll keep an eye out for more unique souvenirs in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
