One MORE Thing The Skyliner Has Made Super Easy in Disney World

We’ll just say it — we are BIG fans of the Skyliner in Disney World.

Sure, there are times when it’s down (usually for refurbishment, but also during bad weather), and it sometimes comes with its unique challenges, but it’s still one of our favorite methods of transportation in Disney World. There’s another reason, though, we love the Skyliner, it’s made getting to and from EPCOT a LOT easier!

For those who visit Disney World to go to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival (or any of EPCOT’s other festivals), many folks might have previously recommended that you stay at one of the hotels in the EPCOT area. Now, ALL of these hotels are deluxe hotels, meaning that they are some of the priciest hotels in Disney World.

While you can actually just WALK to EPCOT from those resorts, the Skyliner has made things a lot easier (and less expensive) for those who go to Disney World and want to attend the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. Why? Well, two of the resorts on the Skyliner route (which can take you to EPCOT) are value resorts.

These two resorts are Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and they will cost you significantly less than the resorts in the EPCOT area. There’s a Skyliner station between the two hotels, which you can take to EPCOT. See how easy that is?

There’s also a moderate resort on the Skyliner route, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. So if you wanted to spend a little MORE money on a hotel, but not as much as you would for a deluxe, that’s also an option.

Even better? Let’s say you have park hopper tickets. If you want to hop from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to EPCOT to hit up the festival, you can just take the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT (note that you will need to change Skyliner routes once you reach Caribbean Beach, but it’s SO easy and convenient to do so).

So where we might have once suggested a stay at the deluxe EPCOT-area hotels if you were going to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we might now suggest considering a stay at Pop Century or Art of Animation instead to save money (which gives you even MORE money for MORE food at the festival, right?).
