If you’re following along, you know it’s a BIG day at EPCOT.

Food and Wine is here!
We’re here for the opening day of EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival. We are traveling all over the “world,” trying every booth, doing scavenger hunts, and having a blast. Between seeing all the merchandise and eating a lot of sweet treats, we are here to update you on how the crowds are looking on opening day.
Here’s what the crowds have looked like throughout the day. This morning, we saw some heavy crowds at rope drop, which is to be expected on a festival opening day. People began to line up and were ready to go when the park opened. However, this isn’t insanely crowded in our opinion — we’ve certainly seen much worse!

Good Morning from EPCOT
But when it came time for the booths to open, we still saw some long lines, despite the seemingly light crowds this morning. The Fry Basket had a long line, which once you’ve tasted the fries, you’ll understand why! However, these lines can run quickly — it really depends on the chefs in the kitchen.

Lines at the Fry Basket
The Alps booth line was pretty long as well. Here you can see the line stretching into the main path to order food. Not only was this line long, but there was a large gathering of people waiting for their orders.

But other booths’ lines were more chill. Kenya’s booth line was shorter, but even in the rain, guests are ready to enjoy the festival.

So even though there were long lines at a few of the booths, we really didn’t see the intense crowds that we were expecting for the opening day of this popular festival!
As we continue around EPCOT, we’ll be sure to update you. Be sure you’re following Disney Food Blog for full coverage of the festival including our food reviews from every booth.
