runDisney has multiple events that happen throughout each year, and we love hearing about what new themes the races are going to have. New races were just recently announced for the holidays this year, and now we know the theme of what one of next year’s races will be!
Disney has announced that the Challenge Theme for the Springtime Surprise Weekend in April 2024 will be themed to everyone’s favorite blue alien — Stitch!

The official name is Stitch’s ’Ohana Challenge, and it’s only one of the exciting events coming to the race weekend, which will include 5K, 10K, and 10-Miler races. The medals participants will receive will all celebrate the theme of being together, just like the theme in Lilo & Stitch.
We love Stitch!
So why announce this today? Well, because it’s June 26th, also known as 626 Day, which celebrates Stitch! We’ve already spotted some special merchandise online to celebrate this occasion, and this announcement brings it all together. As always, be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!
