It’s only June, but Disney has a way of making us feel holly and jolly even before summer officially begins.

Yep, Disney is celebrating ‘Halfway to the Holidays,’ which means that for a limited time, you can grab some treats in the Disney Parks that are filled with yuletide cheer. We’re also expecting Disney to make a few holiday-related announcements this week — especially regarding holiday parties in the parks. Today, Disney shared that a fan-favorite holiday overlay would return to Disneyland, and we have a feeling that a lot of you Disney fans will be very excited! Let’s talk about it!

Disney has officially confirmed that “it’s a small world” Holiday will return to Disneyland this holiday season! This ride overlay features the dolls of the attraction all dressed in traditional holiday clothing from each of their respective cultures.

A fan-favorite aspect of “it’s a small world” is seeing each of the cultures’ traditional clothing, and it can be super interesting to see what each culture dons throughout the holiday season.

We experienced “it’s a small world” Holiday in previous years, and it didn’t disappoint! Each day at sundown, the attraction transformed with overlay lights. A festive light show began every 30 minutes, and we’re hoping to see that return in 2023. We found that the lights made everything seem even more magical, on top of the dolls’ holiday clothing.
