Through runDisney, runners have the opportunity to participate in extra-magical events. This year, we’ve already had the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January and we’re looking forward to the 2023 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November. Now, we have more information about a 2024 runDisney event!
Let’s go runners! Disney just announced the themes for the 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by CORKCICLE. The half marathon week is running on February 22nd – 26th, 2024, and it’s all about discovering your inner hero!
There are a total of four courses with Disney characters. The four events are a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 19.3-mile Disney Fairy Tale Challenge.
The 5K (3.1-mile) course is themed after Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This run takes place on February 23rd.
The 10K (6.2-mile) course is themed after Disney’s Tangled. Here you will let down your hair and race with Rapunzel on February 24th.
The 13.1-mile Half Marathon is themed after Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. You’ll join Tiana to chase after your dreams and savor the journey with music and magic on February 25th.
And then there’s the 19.3-mile Disney Fairy Tale Challenge! Here you will be running this challenge with Anna & Elsa in both the Half Marathon and the 10K. Challengers will need to complete both courses on February 24th and 25th.
You can also join the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon virtually!
